Greggs Price Rises shocker
Greggs, Greggs, Greggs! Wot ya deeing man! I've just bought a chicken club sandwich and it gone up 10p to £2.60. And I've noticed my other favourite - Egg mayonnaise and bacon sandwich - seems to increase in price every week and is now £2! I'm sure it was only £1.50 this time last year.
And what's this "eat-in" price? It seems that for the very reasonable sum of 20p extra on your sandwich, you get the privilege of eating your sandwich on the premises - which means, in the Northumberland Street branch, Newcastle, standing on the ill-defined, fluctuating, narrow strip of no-man's land that exists between the queue to choose and the queue to pay. 20p for shelter and a hint of warmth - it's a no-brainer. Well done Greggs.
